Jolin Tsai Successfully Pulls Off Complex Pole Dance Routine
Jolin Tsai fulfilled her wish by successfully completing a complex ‘spinning pole dance’ on 4-metre high steel pole at her Kaohsiung concert last Saturday.
The Taiwanese singer was initially set to perform the dance at her Taipei show last year, but was forced to cancel that segment after she fell off the pole and sustained injuries during her practice.
Dressed in a white corset, Jolin showed off her dance moves throughout the 170-second single and double pole dance performance inviting continuous cheers and applause from the audience. The bruises left behind from her injury were clearly visible on her legs.
According to the Taiwanese media, Jolin’s ‘2013 Myself World Tour’ in Kaohsiung marks her first concert performance in the Taiwanese city. In order to thank Kaohsiung fans for their support, Jolin even prepared three Taiwanese songs by the queen of Taiwanese dance music Chen Xiao Yun, specially chosen by her mother.
The 32-year-old put in a great deal of effort in practicing the songs and perfecting her pronunciation. Her manager explained, ‘Jolin’s mum even personally corrected Jolin’s pronunciation because Jolin wasn’t good at the Taiwanese language.’
After exhausting herself with the singing and dancing, Jolin said, ‘I have to eat all the delicious street snacks such as sweet potato balls, hot plate beef and milk tea to recharge myself.’

But when I was acting with him, because he was well aware of the rhythm of wuxia drama, he will told you the rhythm you should did when carried out martial art. So Linghu Chong and Dong Fang Bu Bai has seen a lot of beautiful and subtle point.
IBTimes: Cooperation so long, in your eyes, He is what kind of actor?
Joe Chen: I think he’s a very serious actor, there were many difficult martial arts, could have a substitute, but if he could accomplish he would obey, that’s dedication.
IBTimes: The new version of Swordsman had been very high concern, provoked a lot controversies, for example, a “female” Dong Fang Bu Bai, Linghu Chong and Dong Fang Bu Bai love story, What your positive outlook towards the “subversion” adaptation?
Joe Chen: When I first took the role, many people doubted, and I knew there would be some controversies, but I think I’m an actress, my main goal is to be a good actress. Perhaps subversive, but I liked the script, I liked Dong Fang Bu Bai character, I also used my own opinion about her, I thought I had a great harvest in the process of Dong Fang Bu Bai interpretation, and I also know that I have a lot of opportunities for improvement, thank you giving me this opportunity, so I had a chance to make an attempt. Hoping to have the opportunity again, to try such a variety of different roles, and I just wanted to be an actress. IBTimes: From The Prince Who Turns Into a Frog to Fated To Love You, to now the new Swordsman.Some people say that you are the rating patron, and gave you “Rating Queen” title?
Joe Chen: I really think the ratings are not a person can accomplish, I thank you all for giving me the title, I don’t deserve, because this drama is not look at a person, but including every actor, every aspect of behind-the-scenes, the efforts of many people are very important, and I just feel very lucky, I am trying to do the best, hope dear viewers can see also acceptable. Intentionally, I also want to thanks especially to all the cast and crew, this is absolutely everyone’s credit, not just me.
IBTimes: After this, how will you arrange the next job?
Joe Chen: I have been working on the mainland side over the past two-three years. After played the stage dramaThe Woman on the Bread Tree in Beijing. I have a new idea, I want more time to stay in Taiwan, Would be great if after the work could still be in Taiwan.
April filming in Taiwan, I still want to play some more different things, because previous played a lot quite similar dramas. I do not think I have much acting experiences, So still want recapitulation something more.

Jay Chou and Kwai Lun-Mei Reunite for the Golden Horse Award
The 49th Taiwan Golden Horse Award will take place in Yilan Luo Dong Cultural Factory on December 24, the Golden Horse commission announced the first round guest list. Last year’s Best Actor Andy Lau, Best Actress Deanie Ip Tak Han and Best New Actor Ko Chen-Tung will appear. LOVE’s Best Director nominee Doze Niu Chen-Zer and Best Supporting Actress nominees Amber Kuo and Ivy Chen already agreed to attend. Others will include Best Actor nominee Joseph Chang and Sandrine Pinna. Kwai Lun-Mei five years after SECRET will appear at the Golden Horse Award again with Jay Chou.
Jay Chou is working on his second film as a director ROOFTOP, reportedly the story merges dance, martial art, music, and love. He will present an award with his debut as a director SECRET’s lead actress and Best Actress nominee Kwai Lun-Mei. The reunion after such a long time to them will be particularly meaningful. Ming Dao Performs with the Armed Forces Honor Guard for National Day Celebration
While Joe Cheng was off busting illicit tax-evading tobacco smuggling rings, his entertainment colleague and fellow Taiwan armed service member Ming Dao was doing something a bit more in line with his day job. Ming Dao enlisted about 7 months ago in mid-February for his mandatory military service and was assigned to the army.
He joined the Army Honor Guard unit, which is the unit tasked with performing when there are dignitaries visiting or on major national events. Nothing is bigger than the 10-10 National Day of the Republic of China marking the founding of the Republic. This year, for the first time in the history of the Tri-Honor Guard Gun Salute Performance at the National Day celebrations, an entertainer was part of the marching formation which consists of armed service members from the army, navy, and marines.
Ming Dao and his army unit trained for three full months prepping for this big day, and after the performance was successfully completed Ming Dao joked during the interview that he was so nervous he was having recurring nightmares at night about dropping his gun. The monster weapon carried by the soldiers weighs about 11 pounds and is no easy task when it comes to marching in perfect formation and having to perform synchronized gun salutes with it. Ming Dao revealed that his unit gave it their all in preparing for this event and sometimes folks would go misty-eyed feeling how important it was as a representative of their country to deliver a flawless performance. I’m totally wowed that he is serving his military duty so seriously and with such heart. Kudos, Ming Dao! Keep it up and see you back in a few more months.
Rainie Yang Announces She’s “Marrying” Eason Chan
Yesterday Rainie Yang appeared in Hong Kong in a red dress. She announced loudly, “I’m getting married!” She said her ‘husband’ is Eason Chan, but it turns out she hopes to invite her idol Eason to be her guest performer.
Rainie held the press conference for her concert, Love Voyage World Tour in Hong Kong, which will be held at HK Coliseum on December 14th and 15th. As soon as she appeared on stage, she waved and shouted: “Today, I’m getting married! Just kidding! Rainie expressed her company is not telling her who her guest performers will be, but she said: “I’ve always dreamed for Eason Chan to be my husband, slowly rising onto the stage and then give me a hug. Then on the second night, have Aaron Kwok bounce up to the stage and show off his muscles and then give me a hug from behind!” She expressed her concert costumes don’t look sexy.
