Yesterday Charlene Choi, Rainie Yang, Li Dai Mu — a contestant on the Chinese singing competition show <The Voice of China> — and other singers appeared in Macau to attend the press conference for next month’s <Channel V Music Awards>. The award nominees were announced during the event. Among the nominees, Charlene Choi is nominated both as a solo singer and as a member of Twins for “Most Popular Female Singer (Hong Kong)” and “Most Popular Group (Hong Kong and Taiwan). However, she is not very confident in winning, “I am already very happy to be nominated.”
As soon as Charlene Choi and Rainie Yang bumped into one another, they chatted continuously. It turns out that the two of them are very close friends in private. Ah Sa and Rainie expressed in unison that whenever they see each other, they have endless topics to talk about. “Every time I go to Taiwan, I look for Rainie to have dinner together. Likewise when she comes to Hong Kong, she looks for me,” Charlene said. “We were arranging our schedules to see when we will be able to meet each other again. Because when she comes to Taiwan for work, she will meet up with me even if she is very tired. So I would like to specifically come to Hong Kong (to meet up with Charlene),” Rainie explained. Charlene said, “We also really want to travel together.” “That’s right, but time is very tight. When I have time, she may be filming a movie,” Rainie added.
Rainie meets Wang Zi in Hawaii
The Taiwanese singer might have continuously denied rumours of their relationship, but Rainie Yang and JPM’s were recently caught spending time on a Hawaiian vacation together.
As reported on Asianpopnews website, on 15 February, both stars were seen at the Honolulu International Airport in Hawaii. And although both the 28-year-old singer and her rumoured 23-year-old boyfriend tried to avoid being recognised by walking separately, eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice the appearance of both stars.
It was also reported that the Hawaii vacation was kept in secret and Prince was said to be using his band members as a smokescreen, as he took a flight from Taiwan to Japan with Maodi and Xiao Jie.
However, both members were nowhere to be seen at the Honolulu Airport and reportedly went to Los Angeles instead to leave the couple in private.
Meanwhile, on 14 February 2013, Prince also wrote a love message on Weibo, saying “For my loved one and the one I love, Happy Valentine’s Day!” - sparking more speculations that the message was for Rainie.
Nevertheless, when asked about the rendezvous, Rainie’s manager only said, “She only went for a vacation with their mutual friends on the festive holidays”.
Rainie Yang Suffers Rash Outbreak On Forehead
After wrapping up three concerts in Hong Kong last weekend, Taiwanese singer Rainie Yang revealed that she is suffering from a relapse of Dysautonomia (a disease or malfunction of the autonomic nervous system) due to a performance segment which required her to hang upside down. This condition resulted in an outbreak of rashes on her forehead.
The 28-year-old has been rehearsing for the special performance since October and caused the micro blood capillaries on her forehead to burst due to increased intracranial (brain) pressure. On top of that, the physical challenge, nervousness and excitement from the concert preparation worsened Rainie’s condition, and the rashes did not subside even on the concert day itself.
The singer trimmed her fringe and had bangs to ‘cover up’ her forehead which was blemished with rashes, and successfully hid her problem from her mother for two months.
Although Rainie had to deal with swollen vocal cords, bruised arms from wireworks and gastric reflux issues besides the rash outbreak, she was not going to give up.
“I just don’t want to admit defeat before others,” she said.
Rainie Yang Announces She’s “Marrying” Eason Chan
Yesterday Rainie Yang appeared in Hong Kong in a red dress. She announced loudly, “I’m getting married!” She said her ‘husband’ is Eason Chan, but it turns out she hopes to invite her idol Eason to be her guest performer.
Rainie held the press conference for her concert, Love Voyage World Tour in Hong Kong, which will be held at HK Coliseum on December 14th and 15th. As soon as she appeared on stage, she waved and shouted: “Today, I’m getting married! Just kidding! However, this news is even more exciting than marriage because holding a concert at HK Coliseum had always been my dream!” The concert tickets started selling yesterday and was sold out within an hour. Rainie expressed: “Although I’ve performed at HK Coliseum several times before, but I never had my own concert there. I’ve already been in the industry for 12 years, so this is very meaningful to me.” She laughed and said there’s a chance to add more shows.
Rainie expressed her company is not telling her who her guest performers will be, but she said: “I’ve always dreamed for Eason Chan to be my husband, slowly rising onto the stage and then give me a hug. Then on the second night, have Aaron Kwok bounce up to the stage and show off his muscles and then give me a hug from behind!” She expressed her concert costumes don’t look sexy.
