S.H.E. Rekindles Dorm Days
Set to release their new album end of this year, Taiwanese girl group S.H.E (Selina Jen, Hebe Tian and Ella Chen) returned to their “dormitory days”, moving in together once again, reliving the days when they were promoting their first album.
The trio has set a list of regulations: 11p.m. curfew daily, no posting of roommates’ ‘unglam’ photos online, male visitors are not allowed to stay overnight, and to keep noise level down.
Selina commented, “We are not even obeying to the regulations. Ella is still chatting with me at 2a.m.!”
Ella also regarded herself as an “inconsiderate neighbour”, always vacuuming her room in the middle of the night, “disrupting her roommates”.
Although separated from their husbands for the time being, Selina and Ella commented that their husbands do not have any complaints. They would still chat via webcam respectively.
“They can still visit, but just have to leave before the 11p.m. curfew,” Selina added.
Ella also joked that she is quite close to the security guard near her house, thus he could “help keep an eye” on her husband too.
On the other hand, S.H.E’s new songs have been largely leaked online. Unfazed that it would affect their upcoming album sales, S.H.E thanked their fans for informing the music company and was grateful to them supporting original music.

S.H.E. Celebrates Their 11th Anniversay
S.H.E who made their debut on Sept 11, 2001 celebrated their 11th anniversary on Tuesday evening. The three dressed up and switched identities at the event, poking fun at each other. Ella imitated Hebe’s trademark laughter while Hebe tried to mimic Selina’s sweet voice. Hebe quipped, ‘œIt’s too hard to be sweet!’
The closely-knit trio expressed that their desire to live together again for a month before releasing their next album in November. The girls had lived together in a dormitory before they shot to fame.
‘œWe will help you wash your pressure garment,’ Ella said to Selina, who was recovering from the 2010 burn incident. Selina, who was frustrated when she heard about her partners worrying about the future of the band, had cried uncontrollably and put the blame on herself previously.
When asked how their husbands felt about them living together for a month, Selina and Ella promised that it would be fine and they even joked about letting the two husbands live together. Selina is married to Richard Chang; while Ella and Alvin Lai tied the knot in May.
According to reports, the trio will be flying to Milan for their upcoming album cover photo shoot next week. This will prove to be a challenge for Selina as she would have to endure an 18-hour long flight. The girls also revealed that they have finished recording songs for their album and will meet their fans again around the end of the year.

To celebrate S.H.E’s return to the music scene as a group, a 20-metre long red carpet was laid out to welcome them at the offices of their management agency, HIM International Music.
On their arrival, the trio was greeted by the company’s 70 employees, who stood on both sides of a red carpet which extended from the lift door to the company’s offices, cheering “S.H.E! S.H.E!” The grand welcome was to celebrate S.H.E’s reunion after a 32-months hiatus since their last record together.
Member Selina Jen was thrilled over the welcome, expressing, “I felt so pampered! The next time we step into the recording studio, we must have this kind of welcome too!”
Newly-married member, Ella Chen candidly joked that it felt like a wedding again and that she will “go grab my wedding gown and walk this red carpet again!”
Selina shared that the members were worried that “our (singing) key is lower now, seeing that two of us are already married and you know how time does not wait for anyone”. The singer then added that “luckily after a check with the sound engineer, our key did not change.”
For their 13th album, the trio’s company prepared a golden bow and 13 mandarin oranges which symbolised “a good start in work” and made a deliberate arrangement to let them commerce recording at 3.13pm.
Member Hebe Tien who had released two solo albums during the hiatus could not contain her excitement, expressing that she made a wish to wake up on time for recordings. She said, “I’ll try my best to wake up on time and not be late. It’s a very practical wish!”

S.H.E. is all jittery over their first performance as a group in nearly two years at the upcoming Taiwan Golden Melody Awards.
Dubbed to be one of the highlights of the award ceremony, the trio, who had gone on to focus on solo activities since member, Selina Jen, got burned in a filming accident in 2010, will be reunited on June 23.
Selina, who had been steadily and rapidly recovering, expressed excitedly that, “In order to avoid crying uncontrollably on stage, I hope we can rehearse 100 times. I felt overwhelmed just thinking about it [the reunion].”
S.H.E. member Hebe Tien added that, “I am really nervous and is trying my best to memorise the lyrics. I hope I don’t make mistakes.” Newly-married Ella Chen let on that she is excited and nervous but “hoped that I will not be too nervous and wreck this long-awaited reunion.”
